It’s been a climb to Wednesday this week — wow, what a week!
I swore yesterday that the planets must be aligned in a way that means socialites will suffer. It’s been hectic, stressful and just downright nerve-racking.
But, I woke up this morning feeling great … geared up for the rest of the week — and ready to make some fireworks!

Whitney at Z104 did a report on lap dancing this morning. Apparently, there’s a new ruling that says strippers have no constitutional right to get up-close and personal during a lap dance. One strip club owner in Cali tried to get the “two-foot rule” overturned, saying it infringes on freedom of expression. Yeah. Riiiiight.

One in five ninth graders report having had oral sex … and one-third say they intend to try it during the next six months, according to a new study. The teens also believe that oral sex is safer than intercourse. Wise up, kids. This ain’t the 50s.

There’s rally and wreath-laying by Ukraine President Viktor Yushchenko from noon to 2:45 pm. The event is open to the public and takes place at the Taras Shevchenko Monument (P & 22nd Streets, NW). Several high-ranking U.S. officials are scheduled to make appearances.

There’s been a huge response to the “Outta Your League” contest. Looks as if there are lots of guys out there that need to learn the ropes when it comes to D.C. nightlife.

I went to the Wizards / Celtics game last night. We lost. And, if that was not bad enough … this know-it-all British guy that was with us had to keep cutting on Americans, saying we are fat and stupid with no culture. He even cut on the design of the buildings here in “the States.”
After that, he tried to explain why he should be allowed to come out with us as a part of the “Outta Your League” contest Friday. I listened to his ridiculous banter as long as I could, then had to leave the skybox for a while to collect myself.
When I got back, still disturbed by his behavior, I noticed an apple pie in the room. I thought about picking it up and smashing it into his face. Alas, I refrained. Decided that covering up his face with a yummy dessert would’ve been an improvement.
Hmm … speaking of American pie … wasn’t Tara Reid in a movie by the same name, pre-implants? Proof that a lot can change in just six short years …
